Heroes. What is the correct definition of a hero? Many people can define a hero as a person who fights crime, for some a hero could either be a nonfiction or just someone they look up to. A hero doesn't just have to be someone who saves lives every day and that risks their lives for others but someone who can do more than that. It is someone who you look up to for something no other ordinary person would do.

A hero doesn't mean a superhero with superpowers and that could fly. It can be any common person who can have the same characteristics as one. For me my hero is my Mother. My mom isn't a superhero but she sure has the characteristics of one. My mom has been through so much that it would be wrong of me to not write my hero essay on her.

My mother is not just my hero because of being such a good mother. She is, but also for what she was when she was young. My mom grew up with 4 brothers and 3 sisters which is quite a lot, to be living in just a 3 room house. My mother was born in Mexico with almost no money but her parents were still able to support her and her siblings. When my mother was 16 she had to stop school because the lack of money that they had and with the amount of siblings made everything much harder. I thought this was really hard for my mother but it just makes me think about how fortunate I am to be able to attend school now and that I have parents that actually know about the importance of attending school.

My mother struggled a lot as a young teenager and me getting to know all the things she went through makes me look at her more like my hero. I respect my mom because of the exceptional work she has done raising me and my siblings. She has earned a lot of people's respect because of the way she is so nice and caring about other people. I also respect her because of the way she decided to come over here to the United States just to give me and my siblings a better opportunity on being someone in life. I thought it was really brave how my mother decided to do that because I know it's nothing easy. "If anything, everything that I do are for you guys and I am not planning on stopping making those sacrifices".

My mother is someone that I think is just such an amazing person in general. Not just because of everything she has done for me but just the way she is so helpful and nice. With all the sacrifices she has done for me it'll be wrong for me not to choose her as my hero. My mother will forever be my hero for the way she has helped me and has made my life better.
