My Father, Addie

Addie Permono is my father. He was born in Purwokerto. His father is Mr. Soekarno and his mother is Mrs. Sri Maryati. He is the 7th son in 8 children. When we was a child, he lived in Padang, West Sumatra. He went to school with his younger sister, Upi Nuraini. Addie’s house was near a rice field, a river, and a train railroad. He liked to play kites, baseball, and he also liked to go bird hunting. His childhood was very fun and he really enjoyed it because he had a lot of friends and together they played great games.

When he grown older, he studied in Andreas elementary school. The school was very clean, beatiful, and it was located near the beach. He was a bad kid. He liked to throw chalk at other friends, taunt eah other, and throw erasers at others. Because of that, Addie usually got detention. He was not good at every lesson. And his grades were not too good. When he was in 2nd grade, he moved to Bengkalis, Riau. In Bengkalis he had a great time because he had a lot of friends and he could do a lot of naughty things. His grades was not good too when he was in Bengkalis. He then moved Pekanbaru when he was in 4th grade.

In junior high school, Addie lived in Sumpiuh, Central Java. This time he didn’t like to live in this village because this village didn’t have good facilities. He thought his life in Sumpiuh was so boring because after 6 PM, everyone is always already inside their houses and they never take a walk outside their houses. In Senior high school, he studied in Gombong. This time he liked it because Gombong is not as quiet as Sumpiuh.

Because his parents had a lot of children, Addie decided to go to a college where he could graduate faster than if he were go to another college. He studied in ‘Pimpinan Perusahaan’ Academy. Before he graduated, he had worked in Consultan Co. When he graduated, Addie studied in Indonesian University. With his hard work, he graduated with good grades.

He met a woman named Estrelita K.A. Hannan. He fell in love with her, dated her, and married her 4 years later. He had 2 daughters who loved to sleep in his working space at home. He lives a happy life until now. I like my father because he is a hardworker. He never got desperate when he had a serious problem. He is a funny man, he always makes my family laugh with his sense of humour. He built his family starting from zero until it could be like what it appears now. I think it’s very difficult to build a good family starting from nothing.
