I love watching ski-jumps and my favourite ski-jumper is Janne Ahonen, and he is also my hero. He must work very hard to get such good results. He is very brave and he has become one of the best ski-jumpers.

Janne Ahonen was born on 11-5-1977 in Lahiti, Finland. When he was seven years old, he started training in ski-jumps. In 1993 he competed for the first time representing his own country. Also in 1993 he got his first points in the World Series, in Lahiti.

In 2001 Janne's son was born, and he named him Mico. In 2004 he married his son's mother, named Tina. They live happily in Lahiti, Finland.

His nickname is "KING RONE" and it is well known, but he never laughs. He has a big tattoo on his right arm. He doesn't have a lot of free time, because he has to train a lot. But when he takes time for himself, he drives a motorbike and in the summer he does "drag racing".

Janne won the World Series two times in both 2003/2004 and in 2004/2005. This season he also got into the Guinness Book of World Records for winning 12 of 28 jumping competitions. He is also a world champion on the big jump in Oberstdorf. The last competition this season, that took place in Planica, Slovenia, Janne fell trying to defeat his rival, Bjorn Erin Romoren and his longest jump in the history of 240 m. He broke his ribs and fell into 5th place.
