My hero is Muhammad Ali. He is my hero because he never gives up. I like him because he boxes. I like his fighting style. He is my hero for being a great boxer and accomplishing lots of challenges for boxing. Why he’s my hero is because he won an Olympic medal. He later threw it in the Ohio River. Why? Because he went to go out to eat and the person who owned it said to him that the restaurant was for whites only, so he got mad and threw the gold medal in the Ohio River. Fortunately, they found it and put it in the Ali center.
I like my hero because of sacrifices. His religion is Sufi Islam. He is African American. One of his fights was the “fight of the century” against Joe Frazier. I like how he changed his name to Muhammad Ali.

after one of his matches (google images) |
I like how he had 56 wins and 5 losses 5 in 61 total matches. He was born on January 17, 1942 and was born in Louisville, Kentucky. His fighting style is called unorthodox. Muhammad Ali has his own center it’s called the Ali center. It’s at the Louisville River Front. Ali received a reward called “Spirit of America."
He got to light the flame at the Olympics in 1996. I thought it was pretty cool. He was asked by a reporter if he regrets boxing. He said no if he did he would still be a painter in Louisville, Kentucky. Ali was inducted into the hall of fame in 1999. His nicknames were the champ and the Louisville lip. So that’s why Muhammad Ali Is my hero.

POEM
Muhammad Ali is my hero for being respectful and honoring. Unknownd for disrespecting other people. He's not a show off when he gets knocked down gets right back up. And is always loyal and pushing his self to do things better Muhammad Ali never tries to lose. My hero, I think, is almost perfect at sports. He's still respectfull to people who disrespect him. And doesn't ever give up in his matches. He's always looking for ways to improve. Losing to other people that box, he honors them. He's always loyal, respectfull and honoring.Page created on 5/16/2008 12:00:00 AM
