Aunt Judy

by Kenan from Pickerington

We all like to do what we want to do, not what others want us to do.

My definition of hero is someone who can be there when no one else can. They might not be there in person, but talking to this person over the phone still makes me happy and gets me through my problems. They may not be there all the time, but most of the time they are there to save you from the problem that you are facing.

I think that it is important to have a hero because if you are going through something rough, they can be there for you to lean on. They are also there for you when something doesn't go your way, and gets people mad at you. The hero will be there to make everything all better for you.

My aunt Judy is my hero. She is my hero because i can call her and complain about problems in my life, and she can relate to something that happened back in her younger life, to make me feel better about myself. She is always there no matter what. Even if i have to leave a message, she always gets back to me.

My aunt Judy is probably the best listener out there. She will always hear you all the way out, before she makes any comments or she tells a story that sort of relates to your story. Then she listens to your response, and then have a conversation on how you could help the problem improve. She could also help you get rid of your problem by telling you something way off topic, and then at the end wrapping it up to make it sound like it all made perfectly good sense.

I interviewed my aunt and asked her a few simple questions. First I asked her, do you think of yourself as a hero? She answered to this in, "I don't think of myself as a hero, I think of myself as being that person who can help another out." The second question that I asked her, that went with about all the other questions. It is, "If you did consider yourself a hero, what would you best be known for?" She answered with the smart comment of, "If I was a hero, then i wouldn't want to be looked upon like all the others. I would want to be the one that no one knows about."
