Bryce Avary (http://www.123people.com/s/bryce+avary) |
Bryce Avary is a musician, lyricist, and producer. He can play instruments from guitar to drums to piano to violin. Bryce Avary has accomplished so much at such a young age. He sends the messages of peace and making a difference through a lot of his songs, and not only writes his music, but produces it. He has also started a clothing line, called Call It Captivate which encourages people to give to the needy through a more fashionable way. I found out about Bryce Avary through a friend. She was telling me about his one-man band, The Rocket Summer, and I started to listen to him more. Pretty soon I was learning about him, and his impact on people; it was inspiring. I started seeing him as a hero.
For this particular career, I would think that you would need to be very motivated in music, and would be willing to sacrifice a lot of your time to improve. I would also think, to be a musician or a songwriter, you have to be patient, and not get frustrated a whole lot, because in the music business, sometimes things happen, or you might get writer’s block, trying to write a song, and it's just best to be patient. Education and training wise, musicians need extensive training and practice with instruments, writing music, etc. In college, I think I would join a music program or join a music conservatory. If I wanted to be a music teacher, I would need a master’s or doctoral degree, if I just wanted to teach more basic courses, then I would only need a bachelor’s degree. Hourly earnings for musicians are $19.73, but some self-employed musicians’ salary depends on the jobs he/she does. A musician’s annual earnings can be up to around $40,000. Bryce Avary became a musician when he was 16, and was signed onto a record label, so college isn’t completely necessary.

Bryce Avary started playing at music at a very young age. He was 12 when his dad bought him his first guitar, and ever since then, music has been his first love. Since then, Bryce has learned to play almost every instrument such as guitar, piano, violin, and drums. He released his first EP, which stands for Extended Play, which is basically a CD that is longer than a single, but shorter than an album. After that, he released 3 more EPs, and 4 full albums. He released his first EP at the age of 16, so he never went to college. He has been fairly successful from his many CDs and his clothing line. Even though he has been very successful, he still focuses on improving his music.
Bryce Avary has participated in many charities and non-profit organizations. He believes in organizations such as To Write Love on Her Arms and Take Action, and encourages kids and adults to help others. He spreads the message of peace through his music, and talks about his beliefs, his religion, and what we can do to improve the world. He also has started a clothing line called Call It Captivate which was created to inspire, to educate, and to encourage all people to help those in need.
To be more like my hero, I think that throughout my whole life I should be dedicated to my music, and writing. In school I should keep my grades up, and keep improving as a student and an individual. In college, I think I am getting more involved with music related activities, and researching instruments, musicians, music’s history, etc. Some classes I could take would be music theory, music interpretation, or maybe composition. In high school I could join music programs such as guitar or choir. Through my life, I can keep trying to improve on my skills, and keep getting more practice, because you can always have improvement. Being a musician takes a lot of practice, and a lot of time, but it is something I am passionate about. Whether in a band, a music teacher, or even a lyricist, music is definitely important to me, and I want to keep being involved in it through my whole life.
