Challenges and obstacles will always interfere in many of your things but you can't just simply give up, you are supposed to have faith and simply believe in yourself. That person that believed in himself and had faith is my cousin; he had so many obstacles in his life, but one big obstacle was his cancer. He never gave up and he passes through so many days of radiation. He is an inspiration, that if anyone would hear a story of his they would be so impressed and inspired by his story. He is a really big hero to me. He is a cancer survivor and to me that is a hero. To be a hero you don't always need to wear capes or a costume you just have to inspire and motivate people.

What kept my hero going through his cancer, through a struggle that many people go against, was having faith in God and believing in him. He thanks many people but mostly his parents and the doctors. His parents gave him hope and the doctors cured him from the cancer and he considers them his heroes because they have helped him a lot. Not every hero needs powers to be one, he considers himself a hero due to the fact that he is a cancer survivor and that not many people survive from cancer. He also feels like an inspiration to people that are around him. A past could affect many people either in a good way or in a bad way. His past was tough because many people thought he wasn't going to be able to fight off the cancer and that made him think he was going to die. He said " many people in my past have died of cancer, and that also made me think negative".

Motivation and inspiration are important things because they help you accomplish things. Motivation helped him. He saw his mom feeling down, because she would think of the worst and that made him want to be strong for his mom and fight off the cancer. He has accomplished so many things in his life but one of the greatest accomplishments is being a cancer survivor, and what inspired him the most was his family because as he said "they taught me to never give up".

My cousin is my hero due to the fact that he is a cancer survivor because he has inspired and motivated me to never give up and to always have faith in myself. He is one of the toughest people I have ever met in my life. He has gone through radiation and surgery to remove his cancer, to me he is a true hero.
