My hero is the stand up comedian Bill Engvall. He was born in Galveston Texas 1957 July 27. He is my hero cause he was just a regular guy who became very successful. He is a member of the blue collar comedy tour along with Daniel Whitney (a.k.a. Larry the Cable Guy), Ron White, and Jeff Foxworthy. He is currently married to Gail Engvall. They have 2 kids, four dogs, and two cats.

So far he has had a very successful career. Apart from his stand up comedy he is also the host of Country Fried Home Videos and a very successful acting career. How he got his start was on Star Search. His latest show is called the Bill Engvall Show based on his stand up routine. He is my favorite comedian and I even went to his show this summer at the fair.

One of my favorite jokes are his ”Here’s your sign” jokes. The point behind those jokes is showing how dumb people sound when they ask questions with obvious answers. Here is an example. Some guy is trying to get his keys out of his car with a coat hanger and another guy walks up and asks, “Hey, your keys are in your car?” The other guy says, ”Nope, just washed it. Gonna hang it out to drive.” They're so funny I think cause we are all guilty of doing it.

Bill not only does tv shows but also some movies too. One of his best movies in my opinion was Delta Farce. It’s about an army squad that is accidentally dropped off in Mexico, only they think they’re in Iraq. His latest movie is called Bait Shop. It is about an amateur fisherman who owns a bait shop. Then the world's most popular bass fisherman comes and he starts losing his business and is in danger of losing his shop.

In the future I hope the whole blue collar comedy tour will come to Billings. I can live with it if they don’t but I still want them to keep doing movies and stuff so I can see it on TV. Bill seems like a hard worker so I have no doubt, in fact that’s one of the reasons that he is my hero. I can’t imagine how hard it is to work your way up as a comedian. In conclusion I think he is a good person and my hero.
