Benjamin Franklin

by Alvaro from Chicago

"Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise"

My hero is Benjamin Franklin. He did a lot of things to help people. His father, Josiah Franklin was born Ecton, Northamptonshire, England on December 23,1667. His mother, Abiah Folger, was born in Nantucket, Massachusetts, on August 15, 1667. Benjamin Franklin was born on Milk Street in Boston on January 17, 1706. He had other family members and family.

He helped others by his inventions. One of them was the bifocals. They're glasses that let you see both near and far. He invented the lightning rod. It protects buildings from lightning damage. Another thing is the Franklin stove. It helps to heat your house with less danger from burning down. The other thing is the odometer. It helped him to keep track of his distance.

He's a hero because he helped a lot of people in a lot of different ways by his inventions to let people live better. They could live safer too. He helped America in a lot of ways. America became a better place to live. A lot of people admire him.

I choose him because he had a great ideas for the world from his inventions. He helped people in different ways. Other heroes do that usually in just one way. That's way I chose him. He mostly helped people by his inventions, that's why.
