There are many heroes in this world, but I have to choose Ben Franklin as the one I admire most. His whole first name is Benjamin. His father was Josiah Franklin his mother was Abiah Folger. His brother was James Franklin.

He was an American printer, author, diplomat, philosopher, scientist, inventor, and one of America's greatest statesmen. He was born on Jan. 17, 1706 at Milk Street, Boston. He did SO much I don’t know where to start. He is probably best known for his discovery of electricity. He’s also known for his almanac and signing the Declaration of Independence.

Let’s start with his inventions. A couple were the glass harmonica, the first circulating library, Proposals Relating to the Education of Youth in Pennsylvania, and ‘Cooling by Evaporation’ (a form of cooling, using steam). He also created the Poor Richard Almanac and the Union Fire Company.

Franklin was also a politician. He was deeply fascinated in philanthropic projects. Both Harvard and Yale colleges awarded him honorary degrees. He engaged in many public projects. He organized a discussion assembly known as the Junto. He was a key participant in the American Enlightenment. He believed that his discoveries gave him a chance to serve society.

In conclusion, Ben Franklin was involved in science to politics. Where would we be without him? In the dark, that’s where! He was a true hero. In the end, he died on April 17, 1790. This is Ben Franklin; MY hero!
