To me a hero is someone who helps others and makes their lives easier. Ever since I learned that Bill Gates created Microsoft and has a foundation called The Gates Foundation, which brings learning and heath to the community, he has been a hero to me. The foundation has $28 billion in donations which is more than $1 billion a year! He is also a hero for co-creating the Microsoft software for computers, which I might add made him the richest man in the world. Bill Gates is a smart, outgoing, and business smart man.

Bill Gates is a smart man. He was born on October 28, 1955 and is still living to this day. He was born in Seattle, Washington and grew up in Seattle, Washington. In 1973 he started studying at Harvard University and he met a man named Paul Allen, and they worked on a programming language they called BASIC. BASIC was a program for the only microcomputer they had at the time. He did not graduate from Harvard; he left as a junior to go work on the soon to be largest corporation in America, Microsoft. He retired in 2006.

He is business smart because he not only became the richest man in the world but he also became a billionaire by the age of 31 years old. Even though he doesn’t have to manage the money he has, he does. He built a nice house on Lake Washington after he retired from the Microsoft Corporation in 2006. He was worth about $53 billion in 2006. He still is the richest man in the world to this day and he has been at that spot since the 1990’s, but Warren Buffet is getting close to taking that spot from him because he was worth $46 billion in 2006.

Bill Gates is business smart which made him the richest man in the world because of what he created, but he is also the richest man for what he does, and not for his money but what he does for the community. Bill Gates is an outgoing person because he said he was going to create Microsoft and he did. He also opened the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to help others with learning and heath skills. So thanks, Bill, for creating this magnificent software to make writing this report about a great man possible for me.

So therefore Bill Gates is a smart, outgoing, and business smart man who is very successful. He has definitely made life better and more exciting for the rest of us. I personally would like to get involved with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. I wish I was Bill Gates or someone as cool and as caring as he is. What a great guy.
