Do you know who the richest person in the world is? Do you know who invented Microsoft Windows computers? Well that was Bill Gates. Bill Gates was born in Seattle, Washington on October 28, 1955. In 1974 he quit college and started Microsoft with his friend Paul Allen. Bill and Paul wrote the BASIC language for the Altair 8800 Computer. Soon Microsoft wrote programs for new personal computers for companies around the country.
