by Collin from Plaistow

"At the time you do it, you don't realize how it's influencing you going forward"

Brian Niccol is the current chief executive officer of the Taco Bell branch in the Yum! brands company. Although now he is a successful businessmen he wasn't always that way. In his teen years he had a lawn mowing business with some of his friends, it was then when he learned the first lessons about business management. This business gave him the simple ideas of pricing by location and contacts in the business world were very important. Then at his first job outside of his business he was a caddie at a local golf course. After that he went to college and got his bachelors degree at Miami University. then got his MBA at the University of Chicago, both school of business. With that degree in 2005 he went to work for the Pizza Hut division of Yum! brands as their chief marketing officer. After 6 years with Pizza Hut he joined the Taco Bell franchise in 2011 as the chief marketing and innovation officer at the company. But then in 2014 it was announced that Brian would be the new chief executive officer effective on January 1, 2015. As the new chief executive officer Brian Niccol has been in charge of releasing products such as the quesalupa and the new Taco Bell breakfast menu. as well as being the chief executive officer. Brian Niccol is also a husband to his wife of 15 years named Jennifer, as well as being a father to his three kids ages 4, 8, and 10. One of Niccol's quotes that he lives by in his life is that "at the time you do it, you don't realize how it's influencing you going forward" and he uses that while he runs his business. Brian Niccol is not only a great chief executive officer, he also a great husband and father to his family.

An interview with Brian might go something like this:
As the chief executive officer of Taco Bell, what is your business strategy? "Well, we at Taco Bell like to have our customers buy into the brand instead of just buy the brand". What was your first job? "Well i had a lawn mowing business as a teenager but my first actual job was as a caddie at a local golf course". Who is your biggest inspiration? "Well I'd have to say my father is my biggest inspiration" What was the most successful item you worked on as either CEO or chief marketing and innovation officer? "Well I'd have to say the Doritos locos tacos or mobile ordering" Where was the first area you worked at in Yum! brands? "Well in 2005 i was the chief marketing officer in the Pizza Hut division in the company". when did you first start at Taco Bell? "I started in 2011 as the chief marketing and innovation officer and CEO in 2015". What was the biggest risk you took as CEO? The Taco Bell breakfast menu was probably the biggest risk i took" What is your emotional rock? "My wife Jennifer, she isn't only my rock and wife but she is also my best friend". Do you think any of your kids will follow in your footsteps? "Well i don't really know at the moment. They are all pretty young still". Lastly, what's your favorite menu item? Well my favorite item on the Taco Bell menu is the cheesy gordita crunch?

The CEO of taco bell, Brian Niccol is my personal hero because of the way he runs his business, his success, and the fact that he runs the 6th most popular fast food chain in America. Brian Niccol runs his business by treating his coworkers as a team instead of employees and sells authentic food to the public. He is also a successful businessman with a MBA degree in business. Niccol also relies on the emotional support of his wife Jennifer and his 3 kids. Brian also runs the 6th most popular chain in America and 15th most popular franchise in the world. Also without him the quesalupa on Taco Bell breakfast wouldn't exist.
