In honor of Bill Nye, I did research about this hero in “Biography Today.” I chose Bill Nye because I like science and doing science experiments, and that is just what Bill Nye does. After the research, I was glad I did because I learned so much about him.
Who knew such a normal beginning would give the world such a hero? Bill was born on November 27, 1955. Bill was born in Washington, D. C. with loving parents Jacquie Nye (mom) and Edwin Nye (dad). Now, Bill doesn’t have any kids, and has never been married.
The foundation of heroism is education. Bill’s first school that he went to was Sidwell Friends School. The time Bill graduated from there was in 1973. Bills collage that he went to was Cornell University. He graduated from there in his late 1970’s.
Hard work contributes to heroism. Bill tried to have his own TV show but for 4 years he had no luck. Then he got lucky with several educational videos for the Washington State Department of Ecology. In 1993 his persistence finally paid off. Early that year, he received a call from Elizabeth Brock, KCTS, and Seattle’s public television station. She said that she liked his show and wanted him to work for her. He agreed. Bill does stuff to make him stay healthy like bike riding, hiking, swimming, and dancing! Those are also some of his favorite things to do.

Bill Nye is important to mankind and changed the world. Things I like about Bill are his enthusiasm for science and his cool science experiments! It is a really good thing that Bill is still alive!
