My hero is Betsy Ross because she sewed the first American flag in 1776. She worked with George Washington. My hero, Betsy Ross, lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Betsy Ross lived from 1752 to 1836. My hero is important to me because the American flag means liberty and freedom, and Betsy Ross sewed it.
