George Herman "Babe" Ruth is my personal hero in life. As many of you might already know, Ruth had exceptional talent in baseball. The person that influenced him to try baseball was a monk named brother Matthias, and he met him when his parents sent him off to St. Mary's Industrial School for Boys. Some accomplishments in his life are being renowned as the best baseball player of all time and having the highest batting percentage. Some problems that he had to overcome were that he rarely saw his parents because he went to a school far from his home, and had problems as a kid with chewing tobacco and drinking. Babe was never really treated unfairly, but there were times in his life where he questioned some decisions his parents made, like sending him to a far away school for troubled kids, because he didn't think of himself as troubled. Ruth welcomed the popular opinion because he was viewed as a good person, not a bad one. People's lives were changed, because to some people he became a role model and he gave confidence to other people. If he were alive today, I think he would be needed in places where not a lot of people live very good lives, and he could help them by giving them a boost of confidence to never give up because that's what he did, he never gave up. I could imitate him by trying my best at everything and never giving up, no matter how hard it seems.
