Brett Favre was born on October 10, 1969 in Gulfport, Mississippi. In college he played football and was a quarterback, lineman, strong safety, placekicker, and punter. In 1991, his career began.
His first team was the Atlanta Falcons. He played one year for them. Then in 1992, he was traded to the Green Bay Packers where he played until 2007, when he retired. In 2008, he played for the New York Jets. Now, in 2009 - 2010, he plays for the Minnesota Vikings.
In his life, a lot of terrible things happened to him. After his father died, his brother in law, Casey Tynes, was killed in a car crash. Then his wife, Dianna Favre, got breast cancer. Later, hurricane Katrina struck his parents' house.
Even after all this tragedy, he kept pushing on. He's a team player. After every season, he goes back to Mississippi to coach kids. He also has a very positive attitude. Brett is my hero because of his story.
