Buster Posey

Buster Posey is my hero because he is an extraordinary baseball player, he has many great qualities, and he has an amazing work ethic. He is responsible, poised, and humble. Even though he has had an amazing rookie season, batting .305 with 18 home runs and 67 RBI’s and winning the Rookie of The Year award, he never takes anything for granted.

My hero lives in San Francisco California and he is living right now. Buster makes a difference in my life because he is my role model. He is always trying to get better. Buster has emerged as one of the best catchers in the MLB which is extraordinary, because this is only his first season. He always takes extra swings in the batting cage and he is always working to get better at his position. Also, he has led his team, the San Francisco Giants, to their first World Series since 1954.

The Giants catcher was born in Leesburg, Georgia in 1987. He is the oldest of four kids in his family. He attended Lee County High School and later went on to attend Florida State where he played many different positions. Pitcher, shortstop, and catcher were his main positions even though in one game he actually played all nine positions becoming the fourth player to accomplish this achievement in Florida State history. Also, he won many awards including the “Golden Spikes award” given to the best player in amateur baseball. He was also named the 2008 Collegiate Baseball Player of the Year, but the biggest achievement of his career so far is his 2010 World Series Championship ring.

I can relate to Buster Posey because we both share a love of baseball. Also, he plays for my favorite baseball team, the San Francisco Giants. His actions inspire me because he is a role model for me and many kids around the world. Buster inspires me with his hard work ethic and his drive to win. He does everything he can to help his team win and has already made a great impression in San Francisco. Buster is a hero because he inspires me to do my best even if someone tells me that I can’t, or that I'm too young. Also, he is my hero because of his talent on the baseball field.

Buster Posey is my hero because he is a superb baseball player and a world champion. Also, because he is very hard working and he has amazing talent. And, all his hard work is paying off. My hero received many awards in college and recently he accomplished the main goal in any baseball player’s dreams in winning the World Series. Also, he won the 2010 Rookie of The Year award given to the best rookie in major league baseball. In conclusion, Buster Posey is a role model to kids all around the world and a true hero.
