Amanda Beard

Amanda Beard is an extraordinary swimmer. At the age of 14 she participated in the Olympics in Atlanta. Since then she has been in two other Olympics including Sydney and Athens.

Amanda Beard best events are in the breastroke and individual medley events. In the breastroke events she holds many American and World records. But she is still good in the individual medley. Throughout all of her Olympic experiences Amanda has many gold, silver, and bronze medals.

Amanda also has another accomplishment...modeling. Right now she is taking a break from swimming and modeling. She has modeled for Metro Swim Shop with other Olympians which is a big magazine in the swimming world.

Amanda is my hero because she sets her sights on a goal and accomplishes it. For instance, she wanted to be an Olympian and she did it. She wanted to be a model and she did it. Those just show how diverse Amanda really is.
