He was a true hero, who was not afraid to give his life away for world peace! He was a hero to others near and far! His name was Lance Cpl. Timothy Bell Jr. This Marine showed great faith in himself that he could accomplish his dream and he showed great courage for the pursuit of freedom in the world!
On August 3rd, 2005, Lance Corporal Timothy Bell Jr. was killed in a roadside attack south of Haddatha, Iraq. Someone had a set a bomb off in the tank that Lance Corporal Timothy Bell Jr. was in, along with five other brave Marines. This is the story of Lance Corporal Bell Jr.
He was born in 1983. Although his family had a long history in baseball, he chose a different path. Ever since he was a little boy, he had always wanted to be a Marine! He knew it was his destiny! On August 3rd, he and five other Marines were operating a tank that had been implanted with a bomb. When the bomb went off, none of these heroic marines had enough time to get out of the tank. He was 22 years old when he died, just a few years after graduating from Lakota East High School.
Lance Corporal Timothy Bell Jr. was always looking for ways to help others! That’s why he joined the Marines, because he wanted to help our entire country! He didn’t just make a difference in our country, he made a difference in our world! He was a true hero to others near and far!
Lance Corporal Timothy Bell Jr’s story inspired me to want to help others near and far to me! It does not matter whether you know the person you are helping, it only matters that you are helping someone! To know that someone needs your help and theat you can give them your help, is the best feeling!
