Barry Bonds

Barry Bonds is a hero because he helped teams win games and awards. He is also one of the best baseball players in the country.

Barry was born July 24, 1964 in Riverside California. As a child he played baseball with the kids nearby and he knew he was better than them but he still played with them. In high school he played football, basketball, and baseball but his best sport was baseball as you can see. He hade a great year in high school and that year the Giants drafted him. His parents wanted him to get a college education first so he did. For college school he what to Arizona State. When he was a little boy he wanted to play baseball with his dad put he never did till he was in the pros and his dad was the coach for his team. His dad was Bobby Bonds and his godfather was Willie Mays. Because his father was famous the two did not get to spend much time together. That is what happened in Barry Bonds early life.

Barry had some challenges in his life. First, he is accused of taking steroids to make him better. I think that he did not need to take steroids because he is one of the best players in baseball. People put pressure on him because his dad was so good and it was sometimes hard for him to focus on the game. People also thought that he was not working hard on the game in 1987, 1988, and 1989. As you can see those are some challenges in Barry’s interesting life

This is what Barry Bonds did to be a hero. He is a hero because he worked hard and always tried his best. Also because he is one of the best all-around players in baseball. He can hit homers, dive into bases, steal bases, and even throw out many base runners from the outfield. That is why Barry is a great hero.

Some awards that he won were the Gold Glove Award of the outfield. He also won the M.V.P awards three times in four years. He was named to the Sporting News All-American College baseball team in his junior year. He also tied Babe Ruth with the home run record and got a World Series ring. As you can see those are some hard awards to win but he still won them.

I picked three traits about him and one of them is that he is hard worker. I know that because he got all those awards and he tied a college World Series record with seven consecutive hits. Even though he is one of the best baseball players he still wants to get better. He is also focused because he helped the Giants into a winning team in 1993. He is also relentless. Barry and Bobby Bonds may be the best father son combination in baseball history. He also won many awards and doesn’t give up.

As you can see Barry Bonds is one of the best baseball players in the country. That is because he won awards and works his heart out. Those are some traits that I had told you but there are many more that I would love to tell you.
