A hero is a special person; this means that this person is very important, an example to go on. He or she may have something for you that was incredible, or did something heroic for someone, or continued with his or her life regardless of what situations arose. I decided to write about Elizabeth Barrett Browning because she is very romantic and I love her poems.

I will show you one of the most impressive love stories I have ever heard: I have always been fascinated by Elizabeth and Robert Browning stories and poems. I think thier love was awesome. Elizabeth Barrett Browning is my hero. I hope you enjoy my story.

Elizabeth Barrett was born at Coxhoe Hall, Durham, England. Elizabeth was educated at home. She learned Greek, Latin, and some others at an early age. In 1819, when she was 13 years old, she started to write poems, some of which were later printed.

Then, 10 years after her brother died, she had an accident and she was partially paralyzed. After that, she began to write more and more poems.

Soon, Robert Browning started to read Elizabeth’s poems and he liked them. She wrote sonnets of her love of Robert. They were the most numerous love poems that she wrote after becoming paralyzed. In 1844, Robert Browning wrote to Elizabeth, admiring her work. He continued writing to her and telling her that he admired her poems. In 1845, Elizabeth's father said no to their love.

Under thess circumstances, Elizabeth and Robert were secretly wed. Soon, they went to Italy where Elizabeth's health improved. She continued living in the villa of Casa Guidi.

In 1850, Elizabeth's best known book of poems was published: Sonnets from the Portuguese. It was a sequence of 44 sonnets through which she expressed her love for Robert. He often called her "My little Portuguese" because of her dark complexion.

Elizabeth's poems really get into people’s hearts. Many of her poems protest what she considered unfair social conditions. She also wrote poems appealing for political freedom for Italy and other countries controlled by foreign nations.

In 1861, Elizabeth Barrett Browning died at the age of 55. Her son was born in 1849, and her husband returned to England after her death.

This love story really taught me that sometimes people cure their feelings through their writings. This woman wrote love poems and although some people consider the poems a 'dumb' thing, for me, love poems are the best things in the world; love is the thing that moves everyone. All love poems are great and the most beautiful thing. So I would like you to read more poems and appreciate the real art of writing.

I read some sonnets she wrote, and they are wonderful. By reading them, you can see what Robert brought to her life; it was lovely. He changed all the bad things in her life, the more time she spent with him. He didn’t care if she was paralyzed; he loved her just like she was.
