There are many heroic people in my life but no one like my father. Hands down my father is my hero. A hero isn't always someone that saves a child from a burning building, or someone that jumps into a pool to save a drowning lady. Don't get me wrong these are definitely heroic things, but there is nothing more heroic than the sacrifice of being a great parent. For me, my dad is my hero because he is always there for me, and I know that he would do anything for me. My dad always puts his family first and has shown me the proper way to treat his wife and care for his kids.
My dad has put together baseball and basketball teams for me since I was eight years old. He has put a ton of time into it and always makes sure that I have everything I need to be successful. Whenever I have been injured or having any kind of trouble he is right there.
My dad has not wanted me to have a job while I am in high school because he wants me to focus on school and sports. He says I have the rest of my life to work and this is my time to enjoy school. I think part of the reason he does the things he does, is because he was raised quite different where he had to work in high school instead of going to the game, or hanging out with his friends on weekends.
My dad has a way of making each of his kids feel like he is his favorite. I'm onto his game, but I love that about him. It means a lot to me having such a great father that is willing to do anything for me and that alone is heroic to me.
