Chuck Baird was born on February 22,1947 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born deaf. Chuck had three sisters.

He attended and graduated from Kansas School for the Deaf. He enrolled into Rochester Institute of Technology to study the arts. He was profoundly deaf.

His major accomplishments included painting, sculpting, acting, storytelling and teaching.

Chuck Baird's behavior reflected these characteristics of a hero. He is inspire Deaf people to express their culture throughout arts. He also was a hard working man. He painted thousands of beautiful artwork related to deaf culture. He has courage to stand in the front of audiences by giving his storytelling. He has big heart to teach and help thousands of kids to express their vision through the arts.
