The book of Corrie Ten Boom in the Holocaust era.

Corrie Ten Boom is an unlikely hero; her story was during the Holocaust era. She was a simple clock worker along with her father, Casper Ten Boom, and sister, Betsie Ten Boom. They saved hundreds of people and families in her own home! Thousands of Jews were being chased out of their homes, sent to concentration camps, and slaughtered off. Corrie and her family wanted to help them out in any way they could. To the point where she hid them in her home. But the searches for Jews and anyone who even helped hide them, were very vigorous.

The family held drills, and had alarms so they would know and be ready if anyone came in looking for Jews. One night Corrie was in her bed with the flu. She heard footsteps coming and knew there were no drills planed today. Quickly she watched as every one of the Jews got into the secret room that was behind Corries fake wall; which is until she heard coughing from the eldest Jew, Mary. Mary had made it into the room just seconds before the police came. They questioned Corrie and her family, to the point that they took them into custody and loaded them up.

Corrie was split up from Betsie and her Father when they were sent to a prison. On Hitler's Birthday, it was the perfect time for Corrie to ask about her family. She got word back that her sister Betsie was still in prison; But Betsie said that her sister "Nollie is released" her brother "Willem released"! Soon Corrie learned that her Father, Casper Ten Boom, had died. Corrie finally got over her flu and was able to go to her hearing. She and Lieutenant Rahms began to discuss life and become better friends. This friendship didn't last long for Corrie and many other females were sent to a Concentration camp in Holland. This camp was much worse , with horrible conditions, sometimes punishes the whole camp if one person did something wrong. They were also made to stand long periods of time. After a few months they were transported to another camp, but they didn't even have a name, but numbers. Bestie had become very ill, Corrie went to beg one of the workers to take her to the hospital, but she refused. A couple days later Betsie had died, and was thrown on top of other dead bodies where Corrie found her. A few days later Corrie's name was called! Not her number! When they called her she found out she was going to be released, she could go home! She knew that her Father a sister were in a better place in God's care. Corrie was finally able to see her family after all these terrible months of hell.

Corrie Ten Boom was a great hero.
