Philanthropy is to love the people around you. I have seen a lot of people but I chose this one. Cesar Chavez was born on March 31, 1927 and he died on April 23, 1993. Cesar died by natural causes, he was not murdered. Cesar was a great fighter for farm workers and other people. Cesar was also a great activist in this country. Cesar Chavez was also was a really responsible person toward himself and others. Cesar Chavez was a great and wonderful person to all people not just some.
Cesar was a great fighter and he was also a great leader. He fought for his people's rights as migrant farm workers. Cesar fought in a non-violent boycott. He fought in this boycott for 5 years. The boycott was to improve conditions and pay for grape pickers. The boycott was successful and the grape pickers got their new rights.
Cesar was a great activist in this country for many people. Cesar organized and socialized in the 1960's. He found the National Farm Workers Association (NFWA). He later found United Farm Workers (UFW). These are two of the group that Chavez was a leader in. Chavez was the leader of the Mexican-American farm workers. He was protesting the poor working conditions of the migrant farm workers.
Chavez was a very responsible person. Although his family lost everything during the Great Depression, he still made something out of his life. Many people in this country and in his own country honored him. In 1994 he was awarded highest civilian. He had got the presidential Medal of Freedom. He was a great leader and very responsible of his actions. He really did make a difference in peoples lives.
Cesar Chavez was a great person in many people's eyes. He did a lot for the farm workers. Chavez was a hero to me because even though he had nothing, he still tried and came out on top. Remember you can do anything if you only put your mind to it.
QUOTE FROM CESAR CHAVEZ: From the depth of need and despair, people can work together. Can organize themselves to solve their own problems and fill their own needs with dignity and strength.
I chose this quote because it is the truth and a lot of people can learn from it. This quote means that you can do anything if you just work together and you put your minds into doing it.
