Puppet Show 1st grade Mrs. Schenk How Cesar Chavez Inspires Us
GiannaCesar Chavez helped other people get food even when they didn't pay him. He helped his dad when he got in a car accident. Even when his family didn't have food and toilets, he helped them. No one gave them money back.
Lara
Cesar Chavez picked fruit and vegetables. The workers were treated really badly. The workers helped the farmers, but the farmers did not give them money. Cesar Chavez helped them do a strike.
Julianna
Cesar Chavez picked food for people. The workers were not being treated nicely. He got money for them to buy food.
Gia
Cesar Chavez picked crops for other people. He tried to get more money for the workers. The farmers didn't care about the workers, but Cesar Chavez stood up for the workers. He did serious things to do something for someone else. But, the farmers were being so mean to him and the workers.
Alex
Cesar Chavez helped the workers. They went on strike and they stopped picking the grapes. The farmers listened and gave the workers more money and a better place to work.
Reilly
Cesar Chavez was a great leader. He was very brave and he stood up for the poor workers. He got them all together and they stood up for their rights.
Matthew
Cesar Chavez helped the workers get treated fairly. He led them in a march to the government building and got laws passed to protect workers.
Luke
Cesar Chavez worked very hard picking crops and helping his family. When the workers were being hurt, Cesar Chavez stood up for them and helped them get paid more money.
GiannaCesar Chavez helped his parents like I help my parents with the work.

Cesar Chavez helped people and I help people, too. I work together with the Girl Scouts. This year we're sending snowflakes with beads to people who need love.

Cesar Chavez liked to spend time with his big family in Mexico. I like to spend time with my family, too. I like playing with my sister, going outside with my dad, and going out with my mom.

I am like Cesar Chavez. I like to spend time with my family, too. I do help people and he was trying to help other people.

Cesar Chavez worked hard and he made it so that other people could get more money 'cause they worked so hard. I work hard in school and I help people, too.

Cesar Chavez helped people pick crops. He helped his mom get money, but he didn't get a lot of money. He wanted the people to get what they wanted for their hard work. I pick crops for my family with my dad and sisters in the garden. I am a leader like Cesar Chavez and I help people, too.
Matthew
Cesar Chavez picked crops for other people. He went to more than 30 different schools. He wanted the people that owned the farms to pay the workers more, so he went on a trip with everybody.
He marched all the way to the government. I help my family and my classmates with a lot of stuff. I try to do my very best like Cesar Chavez and I try to do what is right.
Luke
Cesar Chavez was brave. He stood up to the farmers and he got the workers to fight for what was right. He was a great leader. I hope to be a great leader someday, too.
