Clint Eastwood is a well known actor and film producer. He has been active since 1955 and he is still active today despite being over 80 years old. First he was more of an actor and played in many western movies during the 50's and 60's. He has always been interested in directing movies too, but didn't get his chance until 1971, when he directed his first movie in which he has also starred. From that point on he has only appeared in movies that were produced by his own company, Malpaso productions. Eastwood received many awards for his work. In 1992 he won an award for the best director and best picture with a film Unforgiven. He won the same two awards for the film Million Dollar Baby in 2004. He has contributed to more than 50 movies and is one of the most influential icons in American film industry history.

I don't watch movies very often but still I can't say that they don't affect me at all. His first film that I saw was a western The Good the Bad and the Ugly which is also known for its theme music. I was just a kid but I still remember the ending very well. I couldn't believe my eyes. How can a person be so calm when his life is at stake. Of course I didn't understand how movies worked back then (about acting so cool and stuff), but that very scene helped me to figure it out later.

Another movie that I have seen pretty recently is Million Dollar Baby. It's different from most other Eastwood's films and it is a drama. The movie is about how people can quickly get everything that they have always wanted. But very soon they can lose everything, even the things that they didn't realise they had. They have to accept their loss and live on their life even if it has no point, which is very hard for anyone. The story is very touching and can be connected with real life.

I have seen many other of his films but those are the two that I remember most.
