We need heroes today in our society because our government and our world is taking a turn for the worse. With people losing jobs, the war continuing now for the 10th year in a row, our society needs heroes more than ever. With people such as our parents, teachers, friends, and family members it’ll be easy to have heroes.

My hero is my grandpa Chuck. He is my hero because he has served in the Vietnam War and got an honorable mention. He was a very good solider and loved his country. He was a very brave man and fought for what he believes in. My grandpa may have passed on but he will always be remembered for his heroism.

My grandpa was always kind, nice, and respectful. Back in the day everyone thought he was the coolest kid on the block. He always had the newest things, and from stories I’ve heard he took longer than his sisters to get ready for school. He was the 2nd oldest out of 12 brothers and sisters. His siblings always looked up to him for advice and protection. He is my hero because he has done so many great things in his life. He cherished every moment of it like it was his last. He always loved to go golfing, or work with my dad, or spend time with his grandchildren.

I view my grandpa as a hero because he was always there for his friends, family, and kids no matter what. He was always there for us. For Christmas and birthdays he would always call, and always made sure he’d send a card. Those things make him a hero because he never forgot and he was always there. He always made people laugh and he was always a happy person. My grandpa would never let anything get in his way of having a good time.

This person definitely fits our class definition because he was a well-rounded guy. He would always be there for his family, children, and wife. My grandpa definitely reminds me of King Arthur. He reminds me of King Arthur because he was brave, and heroic. He’s a hero everyone should have.

These days, our world needs to have more heroes because of the major downturn our earth and economy is going through. A hero is there to help, provide, and protect those in need and those of importance. This is what makes a person a hero to me and I have mine.
