Crazy Horse

Heroes help the world by changing it. Even you can be a hero. People can be heroes by helping us or someone else. Not only superheroes can change the world by doing something very important! There are many Heroes that already changed the world. Like Malala said that women can go to school but one of the men did not agree and shot her. Crazy Horse was also a hero by saving his people from the white settlers. Crazy Horse was brave, smart and helpful to his people. There are many heroes not only Crazy Horse. For example Malala is a hero, Messi is a hero, Helen Keller and many others. They are heroes too because they saved the world and changed the world like Crazy Horse did. Crazy Horse is a good example for boys, because he was smart, he was brave and he was not scared to fight with the white settlers.

Crazy Horse was an Indian who tried to save his land from the white settlers. Everybody was running away from the white settlers but Crazy Horse said no I will fight for my land! Many Indians died but still Crazy Horses armies won big battles. Crazy Horse became a great leader of his people.

Crazy Horse was born in 1841 in the blank hills of South Dakota. He was part of the Oglala Sioux tribe. When he was a boy his name was Curly. When Curly was 12 years old he did his first buffalo hunt so his tribe would have plenty to eat. When he was older he went to the river and did not eat and drink for 2 days. He was waiting for the visitors. In his dream he saw a man riding on a horse. After that, Curly's father gave him a new name, Crazy Horse. Crazy Horse's father told him that the man on the Horse was always Crazy Horse. Crazy Horse became a leader. Many tribes gave up their lands and moved to reservations. The United States government broke their words. Crazy Horse fought for their land and won battles with Custer's armies. It's good because his people loved him for saving them from Custer's armies. In 1877 Crazy Horse died when one of the soldiers stabbed him because he wanted to stop the fighting.

Crazy Horse is a hero because he saved many people and won big battles. That is why Crazy Horse is a hero. A hero is a person who is brave smart and cares about others. He also does good things for others. Crazy Horse helped the Indians have their land back and saved them from the white settlers. This is why Crazy Horse is a hero for me.
