Bob Dylan once said,  "A hero is someone who understands the responsibility that comes with his freedom." To me a hero is someone who cares about others not only him/herself. This is the reason why I choose my mom a hero. The reasons for why I know that my mom is a hero are that she is so friendly to everyone.  She is the kind of person who sacrifices and the kind of person that loves to help everyone else.

My mom it is hard to be a single mother. She was born in Guadalajara, Jal. Mexico. When she was about 17 years old she met Antonio Barajas. They got married one year later. When my mom was 21years old she had me. My dad left us when I was 2 years old. When I was 3 years old, I got really sick, and I needed to get a surgery. My mom owned about 100,000 in Mexico. She had to come as an immigrant to the U.S. to get the money to pay for my surgery.

My mom is my hero because she sacrifices everything to be able to get the money for my surgery. My mom is a single mother like many others, but the difference is that was really young when she had me, and her parents didn't give her any support. She had to raise me by herself. As I grew up I started to get really sick very often. My mom had to sacrifice her happiness by coming to the U.S in the year of 2008. I didn't see her for 10 years. But my mom never left me alone, instead even that she wasn't by my side, she always helps me, listens to me, and gives me support.  My mom had influenced me a lot because even she being a single mother with no support, she never left me alone and she never gave up.
