Chris Martin’s parents were an accountant and a teacher. He was raised in London, England and spent most of his life there. Chris met Will Champion, Guy Berryman and Jonny Buckland in college and they became friends. As a hobby, they started to writes songs together. They soon became hooked with their music and practiced as much as possible, thus Coldplay was formed. When their music became a success, they made sure to be in control of every aspect of their work, from cover artworks to videos. With the profit they earned, the band would donate 10 percent of it to charity. Chris Martin used his money and helped at every world event he could. This included the Fair Trade Campaign and Oxfam’s campaign for fair trade. Later in his life, he married Gwyneth Paltrow and had two children, Apple and Moses.
