" We don't want to tell our dreams. We want to show them (Ronaldo). In life the earliest thing we tend to experience as children is dreaming. Dreaming is such an amazing experience because anyone can be whoever they want to become; millionaire, famous basketball player or even a bird. Ronaldo was a small child that was born in Portugal. He wasn't born into a rich family or with special talent. He was just a kid with a dream to become one of the best football players in the world. Everyday ever since he started playing soccer, he worked harder and seemed very determined to reaching his dream. But that is only one of the reasons why he is so many people's idols because of his many amazing and inspiration traits that he has. Cristiano Ronaldo has two main qualities that made him become my idol which is his careness for his fans and others and his unbreakable determination.

Ronaldo has many important and inspirational characteristic about him but one of his most important characteristic is his determination. He first starts showing his strong will and determination. Ronaldo was born in not a rich family in Portugal and had to sacrifice seeing his family in order to go join the top Portugal club which lead to his move to the big EPL team, Manchester United, there Ronaldo's determination for success lead him to winning his first "Ballon D'or" or the best player of the year award. Very early in his soccer career when he just joined Manchester United. Also, Ronaldo was the player that scored the 1,000 goal for Manchester United after breaking the record for scoring the most goals in the club. But his determination wasn't only proven through his hard work but his impact that changed the club's history. "In his first year with United, Ronaldo helped his team win the Football Association (FA) Cup title, scoring the first goal in the championship match. In 2005 he won the FifPro Special Player of the Year award from the sport's governing body, Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA)"(Gale Biography). Manchester United was struggling at that time but player like Ronaldo, Carlos Tevez and Rooney came in and saved them from losing as Ronaldo kept his amazing goal scoring form. The thing that made him so special is his style of playing that no other player had at the time, he worked hard and long to become as good as he is today. There are many people that seem determined but those who succeeded in reaching what they want is what makes Ronaldo inspirational.

What makes Ronaldo so different and special isn't only what he does on the pitch but also outside of it. A lot of rich people tend to try to spread a good reputation about themselves by donating to charity but he showed his caring and humility to others by doing much more than that. "Cristiano Ronaldo topped the list for going above and beyond on the field and in his charity work. The futbol star raised money for various causes including donating more than $83,000 to a 10-year-old fan in need of brain surgery and giving more than $165,000 to fund a cancer center in Portugal that treated his mother,' Dosomething.org said." (Baxter). Ronaldo is very well known for being in touch with his fans and being very generous which explains his charitable amazing acts. But what is so amazing about this is he didn't just donate the money for the 10 year old boy and never asked about him. Actually he kept checking up on him but sadly the boy didn't make it. Also Ronaldo doesn't just donate and help the ones in need but also the ones that helped him become the successful soccer player that he is today. "Since there was only one trophy handed out at the FIFA gala on Monday, Ronaldo had to find another way to thank the trainers. No word yet on the type of cars he'll be buying but price shouldn't be a problem." (Baxter). It's always important to not forget the people that help you to your success and show your appreciation but as always Ronaldo takes everything to a whole other level. No player in the world has ever done that but the one and only Cristiano Ronaldo, which adds one more thing to his list of being unique. Being a hero includes showing that your idol cares and appreciates what he\she has or else they wouldn't be called a hero but rather a stuck up, but one of Ronaldo's strongest qualities is showing his caring and appreciation for others.

Finally, it takes a lot to become someone's hero whether it was because of something they did or something they do every day. Kids always look up to someone that inspire them to become like them. For me that was Cristiano Ronaldo, the most talented, caring, and most importantly determined soccer player in the world.
