Candace Nicole Parker was born on April 19th, 1986, in St. Louis Missouri. She lived with her parents, Larry & Sara Parker, and also her two older brothers, Anthony and Marcus. Anthony plays for the NBA and Marcus is a Doctor. Her father is a retired NBA player. Parker went to school in Naperville Central in Illinois. She graduated in 2004 and was the first girl in a grade school to dunk a basketball. After she graduated she went to the college of Tennessee, while playing as a Tennessee Lady Vol she graduated with a major in Sports Management, and a little bit in Psychology.

After school, she decided to play for the Los Angeles Sparks. She plays a forward, Center, and guard. She played basketball, with all of the chances she had. Parker is a third year WNBA star. She was the first overall pick in 2008 WNBA draft by the Los Angeles Sparks on April 9, 2008. By the end of the season, Candace earned both the 208 WNBA Most Valuable Player award, and the League's Rookie of the Year award. Candace is the only player in history to capture the league's MVP award as a rookie. Also, during her rookie season, she became the second player to dunk in a WNBA game, and the first to dunk in multiple games.

Outside of basketball, Candace Parker is a wife and a mother. In 2009, she had her first child, Lailaa Nicole Williams. She became an inspiration to many women, because of the fact that she was able to balance having a child and playing in the WNBA. She unfortunately, had to sit out for eight games, due to the birth of her daughter. After two months, the Doctor gave her permission, and she was able to get back out there and do what she does best, and that is playing as an all star. The ESPN says that Candace Parker is the female Michael Jordan!!

Candace Parker loves her family very much. Her husband's Sheldon Williams. He is a former NBA player for the Denver Nuggets. She even has a tattoo on her lower back. Her tattoo says Always SC Forever. The S and the C stand for their initials. Candace did not take his last name though, because of the fact that they are both famous and she likes how popular her last name is. There is great value to both of them, being how both of their families are famous athletes.

Parker advertises for many different companies. Everyone wants her to sponsor them because she plays for the USA team in the Olympics. She won a Gold Medal, in China against Australia. She contributed 14 points and, because of her points, the USA team won the gold medal for the fourth year in a row.
