Do you have a hero that’s in the NBA? My hero is Vince Carter. Vince Carter was born on January 26, 1977 in Daytona Beach, Florida. One of Vince’s hobbies is playing the saxophone. Vince Carter was a winner of the 2000 Slam Dunk Contest. He was also a member of the 2000 USA Olympic team. Vince Carter once lived in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and now he lives in the state of New Jersey.

One time Vince donated $10,000 to his old high school. Vince also donated money to an orphanage. Donating money to his old high school is heroic because that high school can get the equipment they need for today’s students. Donating money to the orphanage made it possible for the kids to get food and the things they need. Giving money to the orphanage is a very generous act.

Another reason Vince is my hero is because he helps kids learn to play basketball. He also set up b-ball camps in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. These basketball camps help kids in Toronto learn more about basketball. Vince has good sportsmanship because he never gets mad if his team loses. That’s why Vince Carter is my hero.
