My hero is my mother, Celeste Maria Chavez. It all started about 18 years ago and my mom was just a senior in high school, then her life turned around completely when she found out she was pregnant. She had to grow up so fast and learn what it was to be mother in just 9 months. However my mom is the best at it. All my life she's never left my side and she's always been here for me and for my three other sisters. My mom was born in Chicago, Illinois.

The life my mother had was never easy but no matter what she always stayed strong. I mean come on she was only 17 and alone and she was about to have a baby. So what did she do? She did what she had to do to stay there for me and provide for me. My mom was both of my parents. She was and still is my mother and my father combined.

My mom tried and still tries so hard to give me and my sisters what we need and want. She went to school right after I was old enough to take care of my littlest twin sisters and my little sister (the second oldest). She went to school to become a Medical Assistant and she did it. She accomplished her goal and she graduated. Even with four kids, homework, part-time job, and not a lot of money. That was about 5 or 6 years ago. During that time she went back to school to get her accreditation for C.N.A (certified nurse assistant). She accomplished that too and now she has a job, a car, we have a house to live in, and she can stand on her own two feet proudly. I mean yeah were not filthy rich but we have enough to survive and that's all we need. My mom provides for us good and as best she can.

My mom is one of those people who will always try to help those in need and she's one of the moms that will go out their way to do as much as they can to keep their kids safe and happy. My mom has come a really long way in her life and no matter what she never gave up. Whatever obstacle she came across she plowed through it to get ahead and succeed. She always strives for better and taught me and my sisters to do the same. My mom is the best woman I know and I consider her a really strong and independent, kind of woman.

Hi my name is Jessica and the person that has influenced my life the most is my mom. She is my hero because she the strongest, kindhearted, smart woman I know. She has always taught me right and taught me to never give up. That's why I look up to her and in my eyes I put her on a pedestal.
