Kenny Chesney

by Morgan from Evergreen

My hero is Kenny Chesney, a country music artist. I chose Kenny because I hope someday to become a big country music artist myself. I respect him for what he does as an artist. I also know that making it in the music business is very hard to do and in making it, he’s inspired me to try and do the same when I get out of college. One of his songs in particular got me thinking about my life around me - most country songs do, but this one was different. It was different because of the message it was sending to me. This song was about who someone would be today if they hadn’t died so early in life.

One thing I like about the music he writes, is that it relates to my everyday life. Songs such as: Summertime, Who You’d Be Today, Living In Fast Forward, There Goes My Life. Some actually do relate, others I enjoy listing to, like: She Don’t Know (She’s Beautiful), When The Sun Goes Down (Featuring Uncle Kracker). Listening to music, just in general, helps me think about my life, especially when the song is about something that would relate to everyday life in one person or another.

Having written so many songs that apply to my everyday life, is why I chose Kenny Chesney to be my hero.
