My mom at her school

A hero is someone who risks his or her life for ones he or she loves. A hero is someone who makes others happy. A hero is someone who fights hard and never gives up no matter what happens. All these things and more are what I see in a hero.

When I was five or six my hero was Superman because he could fly, had super strength, and laser beams shot from his eyes. I thought these powers were so cool because I could not do these things.

When I was eight or nine, my hero was Spiderman because he could climb walls, he has super strength, and he had webs shoot out of his wrist. I thought Spiderman was a hero because he could do some amazing things.

Now that I am older my idea of a hero has changed to my mom. My mom is my hero because she feeds me when I am hungry, she tries to make others happy, she never gives up no matter what, and she is there when I get hurt or when I need her. Superman and Spiderman are cool, but my mom is the best mom on this thing we call the planet Earth.
