Do you have a hero? My Hero is Eoin Colfer. He is an awesome author and he always makes his readers happy.

He has just finished his latest series, Artemis Fowl, and has also written other stories, including the Supernaturalists and The Wish List. He grew up in Wexford, Ireland along with his four brothers, Paul, Eamon, Donal, and Niall. His dad was an elementary school teacher, a historian, and also an artist. His mom was a drama teacher. Eoin (pronounced Owen) became a primary schoolteacher like his father. He loved to write in his free time and pursued it as a career. Just into his 5th year into high school, he met his future wife Jackie at the Ceili traditional school dance. They now live with their two sons, Finn and Sean.

Many critics compare his Artemis Fowl series to Harry Potter and Pendragon, two of the most popular stories that are being sold today. Artemis does many large crimes in his stories, but they are always very funny. Even though, with his great success, he’s been criticized for being too modern and sometimes too violent.

Even through that, he’s lived the best of his life and has very much fun doing what he does.
