In the world we live there are a lot of people who deserve to be a hero. I think, every person has his or her own hero. It’s not easy to become a hero, but I do believe that it’s still possible.

I am not the exception and I have my own hero. This is Dima Bilan. He is a very successful singer. He has a wonderful voice. I respect him a lot, because he succeeded everything in life by his own efforts, alone, without any help. Dima Bilan had done a lot of things which seemed to be impossible. At the beginning of his career, when he came to Moscow he had no money for living and his way to success wasn’t as easy as you may think. He is very famous now (and not only in Russia), but it took him many years to become a superstar.

Dima takes part in different music contests. So far he has got a lot of awards and a title of the best Russian pop-singer. But it’s not enough for him. He represents our country in an annual show called MTV Music Awards. He fights for a title of the best European singer.

Most people love him for his talent and beauty. Dima is a very handsome man. He is tall and well-built, with broad shoulders and sporty figure. He has sparkling brown eyes and dark brown hair. He is beautiful not only outside, but inside. Most people admire his kindness, naturalness and independence.

There is one thing which made him a true Russian hero. All Russians are proud of him. He won the Eurovision song contest in 2008 and eventually brought this song contest to Russia. Russia had never won Eurovision before and that’s why Eurovision song contest had never been held in Russia before.

Dima Bilan took part in this famous contest twice. In 2006 he represented our country at Eurovision in Greece. He sang a fantastic song “Never let you go”, which is still popular nowadays. This song is about love. Many people were sure that he will have become a winner of Eurovision 2006. He was very close to the victory, but got only the 2nd place. After that he didn’t give in and said: “I will return for the Victory!”

Two years passed and Dima’s time came. He arrived to Serbia in 2008 to try his luck once again. Some evil people thought it was silly that he had been sent to Eurovision twice. But he didn’t pay any attention to these words. Those people couldn’t imagine how mistaken they were! A wonderful song “Believe”, which teaches us to be strong, never give in, and believe in ourselves; presented him the 1st place and made him a real Russian hero. We had been waiting for this triumph since the beginning of the foundation Eurovision song contest in 1954, and it finally happened!! Russia won the Eurovision! Dima Bilan made all Russian people feel happy!

All in all, I want to say that Dima Bilan did his best to become a hero. He isn’t lazy and works very hard. It’s not easy to make your country be proud of you! But anyway I think that every person is able to become a hero. You just have to work hard, help people and try to do your best! Everything is possible! You are a host of your fate. Everything in this world depends only on you…and on me.
