The 14th Dalai Lama is my hero because he is using nonviolent ways and helping Tibetans by trying to get China to stop the invasion of Tibet back in 1959. Since then he has lived in exile. Even if Tibet isn't freed by the Dalai Lama he would still be my hero because he has done lots of good deeds that have gone unnoticed by nearly everyone in the world, hopefully the Dalai Lama will be alive to see Tibet being freed.

The Dalai Lama is my hero and he lived in Tibet until 1959 when Chinese forces invaded Tibet and he is now in exile in India. He was born on the 6 of July 1935 and has continued living until this very minute. The Dalai Lama made a difference to the world by trying to free Tibet from Chinese forces that have killed over one million Tibetans. He got others to follow his nonviolent ways.

The Dalai Lama and Jesus relate to each other because they both promote peace - none of Jesus' stories included him or his followers using violence and the same with the Dalai Lama and they helped others through nonviolent ways. Dalai Lama is freeing Tibet. Jesus gave himself up when found, they both preached to others about moral values.

The Dalai Lama has created hope for peace in Tibet - well, peace before the Chinese invasion and hope in what seemed a hopeless time for Tibetans. Hopefully Chinese forces withdraw their troops and there can be peace once again in the mountainous region of Tibet.
