Ms. Donna Stafford

by Dorothy from Georgia

I have many heroes and I have written many hero stories that have been published. But there is one hero that I almost forgot about. She helped me at a young age and we’re still very close. This hero is Miss Donna Stafford. I know Miss Stafford because she was my kindergarten teacher and my sister Ashton’s too. Miss Stafford has taught kindergarten for many years at SCDS. I have known Miss Stafford all my life.

Miss Stafford is my hero because of her compassionate spirit and her kind words that helped me keep moving forward and keep trying if I failed or could not do something. In kindergarten, I loved her personalized fashion of bright red lipstick and her flower that was different every day. She always showed me how much she cared. Another way she was a hero is she made her plans and art activities that were so fun and always turned out great.

Miss Stafford is similar to some Greek heroes because she is intelligent, confident, compassionate, generous, and humorous. She is different from Greek heroes because she does not have super human powers and she is not a god of anything. Miss Stafford is a great hero to me.
