My HERO is my best friend Dawn M.Vasquez. I met her when I was 7 yrs old. She is like a sister to me because she was always there for me when i need her or even when i didn't need her (well i always need her). She used to work at the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization. I was lucky to get her as my big sister.

Dawn grew up in Nova Scotia and came to Windsor for college. She met a really nice guy name Jose Vasquez. They got married June 2000. One of the best days she ever had until she had her first baby Mila and she was a doll. Then along can Dawn's first foster child Devin. Then finally I came to live with them. I've been waiting for this for a long time. Last but not least Mato came and he was so cute baby. He looks just like Dawn.

Everything was going great until November 26 2007. That's the day Dawn died and everyone was sadder than sad. Then everyone's life changed. She was the best thing that ever happened to anyone that knew her. She would make new friends and find old friends along the way. She would changed everyone's life even if it was bad or happy. She was always there for everyone and anyone. She made everyone happy in so many ways to the point no one could be sad around her because every time you would look at her she would make you laugh.

I've been trying to live my life without her and it's really hard, to the point my life is messed. Things have never been the same since she died. I barely talk to Jose, Devin and the kids anymore. I'm like blocking my whole other life away from everyone else and it's not good because they really don't know me at all and I'm to scared to tell the other life because I'll start to cry. Well this isn't about me it's about Dawn, the best girl in this world (well to me and some other people). She didn't know a lot about me when we first met but for some reason I felt like I knew her my whole life, like we were sisters for a long time. That's how much I love her and will never forget her. For some people she's gone but for me and my family she has never left our life because she's still here and will be forever and ever. I don't think anyone can forget her because she was a great person that god could ever give us and we thank him for that. If it wasn't for him I would never have found Dawn and would have stayed in a bad situation. We miss her a lot and always will.

And that's why she's my hero because she changed everything that was bad into good for everyone she knew and loved dearly.
