A hero is someone who thinks about others and not only himself. Dejan Peric was born on September 22nd, 1970 in Becej Yugoslavia. He is a Serbian handball player (goalkeeper). He is 1.85m tall.
Dejan Peric began playing handball at Dinamo Pancevo. Before the age of 16 he played for the top Serbian youth-boarding clubs RK Red Star Belgrade. After winning the championship with Serbian Belgrade in 1992, he moved to Altetico Madrid in the Spain league ASOBAL, where he remained without sucess and that is why after two years, he moved to Teucro Pontevedra. After no success there, he moved to Slovenia and played for the 1995 series champion Celje Pivovarna Lasko. With the men from the Slovene Styria , he now had a sense of achievement: 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2004 Slovenian champion and in 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2004 they were the Slovenian Cup winners. Their high point was winning the EHF Champions League in 2004. Peric was affected during the subsequent sell-off in Celje: The FC Barcelona took him under contract. There, he was part of the 2006 Spanish champions and winner of the 2005 re- EHF Champions League. In 2006 he transferred to MKB Veszprem in Hungary. While there, he won the Veszprem European Cup Winner's Cup and the Hungarian championship. Now he is playing for Celje Pivovarna Lasko.
He is a handball legend and everyone could take him for an example of how the true sportsman should be.
