Dipal Shah

by Kajal from North Bergen

"Perfection can get boring"

Dipal Shah is an astounding person, the closest to perfect a person can get. She is my sibling, and I strive to be like her everday. Her personality is appreciated by both teachers and peers. Her philosophy, "If you are going to do something, do it right," is something she lives by. As a child, I didn't really look up to her, but now I admire her. It is hard not to. She has a fiery aura around her that attracts people.

She is a very successful person. She went to Our Lady of Libra, where she was Vice President. She also won the Hudson County Spelling Bee twice. Both times she proceeded to The National Spelling Bee. She is in the documentary of the Spelling Bees, "Spellbound." She won prizes in the science fair. She then proceeded to High Tech High School. She was a part of many clubs there including Key Club. She was the president of the National Honor Society. She was chosen Most Likely to Succeed.

She attended Brown University after high school. She is there, today, striving towards a career in medicine. She will one day be a doctor.

No matter how busy she is, she always finds time to talk to me. She has been my companion my whole life. Our eight year difference is never a barrier. She treats me as though I am an adult, and I love how she makes me feel great.

We don't have much in common. We look different, and our personalities are distinctly different. I am not as humorous as she is, and she has always been more practical than me. She is interesting. Every second I spend with her is a priceless and cherished moment in my life. She is colorful and her thoughts are vivid.

I am a seventh grader in North Bergen, a town in New Jersey, and I will describe my one hero in the world. Her name is Dipal, and she is intelligent, kind, humorous, at times a little cruel, beautiful, and also my sister. I love her and strive to be like her.
