Kiki had lived in Mexico for four and a half years trying to catch Mexican marijuana and cocaine dealers.  He died on Thursday, February 7th, 1985.  Drug dealers kidnapped Kiki and tortured him to death.  Today will celebrate his life during Red Ribbon Week which is the last week of October.

He was born in July 26, 1947 in Mexicali, Mexico.  He graduated high school in 1966.  In 1968 he joined the U.S. Marines Corps.  In 1970 he became a criminal investigator.

In memory of Kiki they made Red Ribbon Week.  All around America kids wear red ribbons and remember during that week.  They also pledge not to use drugs in that week.

The reason I chose Kiki as my hero is because he tried to stop drug dealers.  Drugs can kill people.
