Eric Carle

Eric Carle is a children’s book author and illustrator and is especially famous for “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”. He sold 29 million copies of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. He also wrote with Bill Martin.

He is my hero because he is a great person and writes great stories. He has written 75 books. He doesn’t just write books, he also does notebooks, journal, coffee cups, pencil, book marks, and etc. He also has his own web site called Eric-Carl.com .

His birthday is on June 25, 1929. He was born in Syracuse, New York. He went to school in the United States. Then he went to school in Germany. They made him start school over.

Eric Carle is a true hero because of his wonderful books.
