Heroes save your life when you least expect it. Heroes are everywhere, but heroes don't need to wear capes to save the day . The true definition of a hero is a person that is determined to sacrifice their own life for you, and does anything in the world so you can have a better life than them. They think of what's best for you, and take you where they think that will possibly be the best place for you to grow up. That is why my mom is my hero.

We had already gone to Mexico to spend 5 months of vacation over there. A few months later, my mom had decided to stay there forever. So, more than five months passed and we were still in Mexico. She was going to take me to a kindergarten where children spoke pure spanish and then thought that I would forget all of the English vocabulary that my preschool teacher taught me. She thought for a while and realized that no matter for how long she wanted to spend time with her parents, we had to come back because my dad missed us and we missed him. Also because she wanted us to learn more English.

Her name is Elizabeth Lopez. My mom was born in Guerrero, Mexico. She went to Cobach-GRO University and to the Bachilleres college. Her family members are: Teresa Salvador (sister), Jose Lopez (brother), Ebencio Lopez (dad), and Salud Bautista (mom). An interesting fact from her youth was that she loved to make clothes for her dolls.

My mom's parents influenced her and changed her life by always making sure that she studied hard to get good grades and also because they gave her a good example of life, how to treat people, and how to respect other people's property. An obstacle that she went through was coming to California because she didn't want to leave her parents. She got over it by re-doing her life here with my dad. I really admire her because she left everything to come to the USA.

My mom worked as a judge's secretary and later worked as the vice principal of the college of Bachilleres (The school she used to go to). A character trait that my mom mostly represents is courage because it takes a lot of it to leave everything behind. Your parents, your brothers and sisters, and your friends, but she did it for me. I am so lucky to have a hero as a mom!
