She is a hero because she is an animal rights activist, an environmentalist, a peacemaker, and a benevolent activist for many other philanthropic foundations. Ellen DeGeneres is involved in at least 31 organizations that support themes from Red Cross to her and Ben Affleck's very own "Small Change Campaign" to benefit the Feeding America foundation. Ellen is a strong hero of faith because she has courage and trust in herself to follow her moral values. Ellen DeGeneres is a woman of powerful thoughts and beliefs who contributes as much as she can to help her supported organizations.

Ellen once said that if she had not become a comedian/talk show host, she would have wanted to become a veterinarian.
