"I love to cook and I cook to love. Throughout my career, I continue to thrive on discovery, take on challenge and enjoy the present. I have learned a lot along the way and I hope to show you some of the moments past, present and looking at the future." -Elizabeth Falkner
The career that I want to be in is a pastry chef, some job related tasks are baking and preparing food. The education and training requirements are High school diploma at minimum; certificate, associate's degree and apprenticeship programs are common. On-the-job training for those with only a high school diploma. The salary is $53,938.other careers that are similar would be like a baker and a chef. Some of the recent developments are new technology for like baking utensils.
Some of the traits and aptitudes that were displayed as a young person from Elizabeth Falkner are that she first started he interest in a bakery as a young girl in 1990. The skills that she gained at her college and her job later helped her become a professional pastry chef that now works in new York as a professional pastry chef. She graduated from San Francisco Art Institute where she got her degree in fine arts. She worked for a lot of restaurants and bakeries such as a French Bistro and Cafe Claude. In 2003 she was part of a team doing research for American/European pastries for Barilla in Parma, Italy. In 2006 she was a guest judge on the food network show Top Chef. Now she works at her 2 Italian restaurants in Brooklyn New York. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elizabeth_Falkner#Biography)
Elizabeth Falkner helps others by inspiring them to do what she does as a career. And she is also very passionate for her job, she also helps the community because she donates to charities. She spends most of her time working at her restaurants and sometimes makes appearances in food network tv shows. The cuisine of celebrity chef Elizabeth Falkner proved a highlight during a special dinner created by culinary students at Ivy Tech Community College in East Chicago in November 27 in 2003, she shared recipes from top chef and other shows with the kids and showed them how to make the dish.
I am going to have fine arts and baking as my majors in college. I will apply in the summer for local bakeries so I can get more experience in the baking industry, some of my college goals are to get in to Academy of Art University - School of Fine arts or Academy of Art University. And my lifetime goal is to own and run my own bakery.
